We are beyond excited to welcome you to Prairie Flower Market's 2025 season! Get ready to immerse yourself in the true experience of local flowers, with markets spanning from May to September. Just as the seasons and months change, so do our offerings of locally grown, specialty flowers. Each month brings a unique selection of blooms and greenery, cultivated with passion and care by our local farmers.

May 10: Planting the Seeds
June 22: A Burst of Color
July 19: Summer in Bloom
August 23: Canadian Flower's Week
September 20: A Grand Finale

May will bring you seeds, tubers, seedlings, and so much more to get you started growing your own specialty flowers.

June is full of peonies, ranunculus, and anemones. You'll be captivated by the delicate petals of these early summer favorites.

Join us for the first ever Prairie Flower's Market Canadian Flower's Week Celebration. "For one week, the flower industry will unite to celebrate and show off its bountiful beauty."

The season ends with September, adding decorative grasses, grains, pumpkins, and (fingers crossed!) late dahlias.

July brings the height of summer florals with sunflowers, lilies, and zinnias taking center stage.

Thanks to your amazing support during our debut 2024 season, we owe you our gratitude for making it possible to continue these markets into the 2025 season. What's truly remarkable is the sense of community that you have empowered us to build among our local flower growers. In a business that can often feel isolating, these markets have provided us, local growers, with the opportunity to connect and form meaningful friendships.

Perhaps it's the magic of the Saskatchewan prairie that has enabled us growers to foster camaraderie and collaboration in place of competition. We firmly believe that when one succeeds, we all benefit, and we take immense pride in the community that you have helped us cultivate.

We see you as part of our family, and we are thrilled to embark on this growing season alongside you! Your unwavering support and passion for local agriculture mean the world to us. We eagerly anticipate your presence at the Prairie Flower Market!

Sincerely,

Your Local Flower Farmers

Our Story

About Prairie Flower Market

Founded by Allison Lapointe-Lacelle of Songbird Flower Farm, the Prairie Flower Market was created to celebrate the beauty, diversity, and seasonality of locally grown flowers — and to connect the people who grow them with the people who love them.

After hosting a series of pop-up markets in 2024, we’re excited to be in our first full season as a dedicated flower-focused farmers' market. Each market is an opportunity to meet your local flower farmers, learn more about their work, and experience the magic of fresh, seasonal blooms grown right here in our region.

Prairie Flower Market grew out of the friendships, mutual support, and shared passion among local cut flower growers. What began as farmers leaning on one another for advice, spare blooms, or an extra set of hands has blossomed into a broader community — one that includes florists who value fresh, local flowers and customers who appreciate the unique joy of giving and receiving blooms that reflect the rhythm of the seasons.

Our vision is simple: to create a space where people can gather, connect with flower growers in their area, and discover the beauty of flowers grown close to home. We invite you to join us as we grow, and to celebrate with us all that local flowers have to offer.

Our Vendors

Many people are surprised to learn that, despite long, cold winters and a short growing season, the prairie provinces of Canada are home to a vibrant and thriving community of flower farms. Each farm is as unique as the grower behind it — with its own approach to cultivation, bouquet design, and specialty crops.

At Prairie Flower Market, every vendor grows their flowers right here on the Prairies of Saskatchewan. These are not imported blooms — they are seasonal, locally and ethically grown flowers, nurtured by passionate farmers who pour their heart, grit, and creativity into every stem.

We invite you to come meet these incredible growers, hear their stories, and support the work they do to bring beauty, sustainability, and connection to our communities — one bouquet at a time.

In addition to our flower growers, we’re proud to welcome a select few artist and artisan vendors to the market — thoughtful makers who create beautiful, meaningful goods and share our values of community, creativity, and quality. They’re talented, kind-hearted people, and we think you’ll love what they bring to the market.
